It’s that time of the year again – festive, full of sharing, slowing down, and envisioning the future.
I found myself wondering whether I truly wanted a holiday.
Surprisingly, the answer was this: a short break feels good, but not necessarily a holiday.
Why?
Because I am living my life.
- It is busy, yet peaceful.
- It may seem chaotic, yet there is a deep calm within.
- There is “no time,” yet somehow everything fits.
A few years ago, I could never have said this.
Back then, all I wanted was a holiday, a distraction from thinking, from being myself, and from facing situations and conflicts I didn’t know how to handle.
Today, I welcome life with an open heart, curious to learn what it holds for me, how I can grow, and how I can live with greater peace.
You cannot overcome fear or lead with inner peace by suppressing or distracting yourself. It becomes possible only when you focus on your faith identity and nurture it.
In moments of trial and tribulation, choose your faith identity, and you will lead with fearless inner peace.
- If you are feeling stuck, don’t suppress it, face your fears and break the cycle.
- If you are hesitating to take a step forward, do it anyway.
- If you are holding on to something out of worry or fear of losing control, let go. What is truly yours will return to you.
So this season, if you feel desperate for a holiday or a break, ask yourself:
- How am I not fully living my life each day?
- Who am I not honoring within myself that makes me want to hide or distract?
And if you feel stuck, let 2026 be your year.
