Is Self-awareness a New Religion? NIJA – The Innate Truth

Last week on NIJA- Innate Truth, we discussed and explored the following:

1. Is self-awareness a new religion?

2. Do we really have control over our lives or do we believe that we do have control and strive to make it true?

What came up in the discussions was interesting.

Religion gave faith to humanity – To believe in something higher than yourself so in distress when you cannot rely on yourself, you can rely on that higher self or higher power.

An easier way to accept & surrender.

However, it appears that the original purpose is lost and is now tainted with power, tradition, rituals and fears instead of giving faith & hope.

Then came spirituality, the big brother of religion.

And it said we are all one and it talked about higher dimensions with a new set of rituals and we got distracted from being human and instead chased that label.

Now it’s the age of self-awareness, personal growth and mental health.

Now it gets interesting!!

Is this the new religion for those who are rebelling against religion & spirituality?

If the power/word of God made someone special in the past, the power of the spirit, soul or energy made someone else special in the age of spirituality.

What now?  Manifestation, Empathy or Compassion!!

Or is it just about living a life of human moment to moment and, consciously choosing to be contented and happy with what is in our control and let go of what is not in our control !!

Is that path of conscious choice, or self-awareness?

“The chief task in life is simply this: to identify and separate matters so that I can say clearly to myself which are externals not under my control, and which have to do with the choices I actually control. Where then do I look for good and evil? Not to uncontrollable externals, but within myself to the choices that are my own…”
